A code is not a diagnosis. We find out what it actually is.

A parts-store scanner tells you which sensor complained; it does not tell you why. We read the codes, test the circuit or component, and explain the result in plain words before quoting a repair.

Questions we get at the counter
Is a flashing check-engine light serious?
Yes. A flashing light usually means an active misfire that can damage the catalytic converter. Drive as little as possible and call.
The parts store read my code for free. Why pay for a diagnosis?
A code names a symptom. The diagnosis tests what caused it, which is the difference between replacing the right part once and replacing three parts on a guess.
Can you clear the light so I can pass an inspection?
Clearing a light without fixing the cause just brings it back. We fix the cause; then the light stays off.
How long does a diagnosis take?
Most are done the same day. Intermittent electrical faults can take longer; we tell you when you drop the car off.
